Exclamation Random Fake Shutdown

Every few days my secondary domain controller will lose network connectivity and video but it will remain on. I am now seeing this on 2 DELL 1750 Poweredge's (SUCKS!!). Havent seen this error on compaq/HP's but maybe you have seen this and could help me???
I have running on this 2nd DC the following:
Blackberry Enterprise Server
Veritas BackupExec
Symanted Management Console for NAV

also, after i shutdown the box and bring it back up i see NO system errors relating to this. The only one i see is a NETLOGON event ID 5705 about a corrupt security log but this relates to the security log in event viewer. Could this be it?

many thanks in advance.
Jared

PS. I have heard b/c of the way Symanted may have been installed on the machine it can cause memory leaks?

Is that running on 2003 server ? I was never crazy about rack mount server and now hearing this (n)..... I have not seen this issue and never heard of it either, but loosing the network connection on any server is serious enough and dig deep and notify the vendors.. I would started with Dell forum and then escalate the support to tear 2 or tear 3 of 1750 department, also contact RIM about the Black Berry server and see if they have seen this problem.

Just one question, how did you determine that you have lost the network connection ? (just the LED on the NIC was off)

Sorry I could not help very much.

cheers

1 is running 2k3 and the other is 2k.
Rack mounts are fine if they are compaqs, the dell's are just suckin wind.

I called Dell and they claim its due to their openmanagement s/w trying to resolve a hw error its found. WHY WOULD THEY EVEN DARE TOUCH THE BIOS WITH SOFTWARE....and now the moron who setup the server never documented the password for the openmanage...omg!!!!!

i determined i lost the internet connection 2 ways:
1)I pinged the IP address
2)I looked at my cisco switch and it was DEAD light, no green or yellow.
