Is this possible:

My server will not turn on anymore and i dont have the time to troubleshoot a HW issue. Can i do the following:

I want to take the HD that is currently in there and just pop it into another box, will this work? and if that doesnt, can i add it as a slave drive and then import my pub/priv stores?

short answer no, and no to the second question.

You may want to use a third party software to transfer the pub and Pive file to a safe location first..... I have tried this scenario in the isolated network environment and it worked...... you will be able to recover the private folder but I don't know about, public folder.

I have some tools that could help you out... drop me a PM and I will look at it tomorrow morning (Sept, 09).... and we can take it from there.
