Welcoming Message on boot-up

Hi,

Is there anyway I can impement a welcoming message when win 2000 boots up. A message like "Hi, Welcome", or "This computer may contain a virus", or to either welcome them or warn them.
Iv'e look in the registry, but am not sure if there is a DWORD for it.

you could just right a simple script file to show a messgae box at startup

Open notepad and copy the line below into it

msgbox "This computer may contain a virus " , 16 , "Critical Warning"



click file \ save as
select "all files" in "save as type" dropdown

name the file whatever you want but add the extension .VBS
close notepad

after that go to where you saved the file and double click it

You can also use "Group Policies" to have a message show before anyone logs on.
