Changing a Username?

I was wondering if it is possible to change a username on win2k logon screen.

I was stupid, I used a very stuipd name for the Username when you logon to windows 2000.

Lets say, the user name is "John Doe" "password"

can i change it to "User122" "password" ?? the main thing is i want to keep the settings and account info and settings intact.

Is it possible to create a new user account and name it "User122" and then cut and paste the contents of "John Doe" and would it be the same??

Start > Settings > Control Panel > Users and Passwords

If 'users and passwords' isn't in the control panel, right click on my computer and click manage. Then click on 'local users and groups', then click on 'users'. Find the user you want to change then right click and select properties, and have a look in there.
