HI,
I've deployed the screen saver in my organisation through GPO. Its working very fine but i have some doubts in my mind which i need to clarify. First of all the background of my query is that the screen saver i've deployed is a self made in flash which makes entries by default in %systemroot% that is c:\Winnt in my case on all the machines in my network which i've already deployed on all machines. now what i did is i've activated the screen saver through GPO (Administrative Templete\Control Panel\Display) in users' settings. And mentioned the name in the Screen Saver's name as %systemroot%(screen saver name.scr). And also assigned screen saver timeout and machine lock enabled.
Now my queries are...
1. Would all the desktops will take the screen saver from local machine or from my server (from where i've ditributed this package through GPO). as after deploying this policy i could see my screen saver's exe is running on my server and taking lot of CPU and Memory utilization. (I still have my MSI assigned on all the users in my GPO ,if it could be the problem no idea).
2. My all the desktops running this screen saver but when clicks on screen saver tab in display properties it shows "None" instead of my sceen saver name.
Please responde if anyone can help me..
