Is this a virus?

I have a Windows 2000 SP 4 system. For the last few weeks I'm noticing a strange problem.

When I access a page with images (gif/jpg) the images do not load completely
If I just select the "View Image' same problem occurs and sometime the image is all corrupted. I tried this with IE, Mozilla, Netscape 7.1 - same story

I thought it could be a browser problem, but a similar problem occurs even when I try to install desktop applications off the network. While trying to install Yahoo ! messenger, the installer just hangs forever on the network to download product from Yahoo!

I ran Stinger, HijackThis, Symantec, AVG etc - nothing to report.

Appreciate any pointers!

Try this online scan and see if it comes up with n e thing, as if it is a virus it may have gotten to the applications that u have used before u use them:
