Does anyone know what the limitations are for Virtual Directories on an IIS Server?
I have a client that wants to be able to have all of thier members have their own website such as
www.domain.com/member_name/, but I don't want to have the application create a lot of physical directories in the web root, because that will cause future maintenance nightmares.
I had one client that had over 10000 virtual directories, but I don't know if it worked well or not.
Does anyone know the MS recommendations or limitations? Or does anyone have any experience or ideas in this matter?
Thanks,
-Steve
