Question Problems displaying Chinese character

I am woundering how could I made my windows 2000 professional displaying Chinese character. Cause I know I have to do the following
1) Start => Settings => Control Panel => Regional Optionals
2) in Language settings for the system click the Advanced Button
3) Check all the
-10002 (MAC - Traditional Chinese Big5),
-10008 (MAC - Simplified Chinese GB 2312),
-20936 (Simplified Chinese GB2312),
in the pop up Code page conversion tables windows.
4) then the system will ask for the Windows 2000 Professional CD-ROM
which contains the following files
-c_10002.nls,
-c_10008.nls,
-c_20936.nls, and
-prc.nls

My problems were

1) I don't have the Windows 2000 Professional CD-ROM with me, is there any possible ways that I could do to display the Chinese Character without the CD-ROM?
2) or where could I download those files espeically the prc.nls. Cause I have already downloaded all the .nls files I needed (c_10002.nls, c_10008.nls and c_20936.nls) except prc.nls!

Could anyone help......

Chinese characters and Win 2000 CD

I also have the same or slightly different? problem.
I do have the Windows 2000 Professional Install CD, however, when the Regional Options looks for the prc.nls (and the rest, I presume?) it does not find them on my (or anywhere else) CD. I have searched the cd for the prc.nls file but same result? Strange? Those files are missing on my CD. Did go to Microsoft and did some searches "Chinese chaes. and Win2000 etc" also for the "prc.nls" file but nothing came up that I could identify or make sense of either. Wonder if you got any feedback to your original question about where and how to find these files. Life should just not be so difficult (Old chinese proverb)- sorry no chars !

My guess is that you'd need a MUI with Chinese language support. As far as I know Microsoft do not distribute MUI's on the web for free download. Might be mistaked on this... are you using W2K Pro Chinese? or English?
