watching dvd on tv through my pc

I'm trying to watch dvd's on my TV through my HP computer. I've hooked up the audio, which I can hear on the TV and I used an s-video cable to hook up to the TV but I get no video. I checked the utilities and wanted to change the monitor to s-video but it doesn't allow me to do that. Is there a driver or something that Windows 2000 has to fix that problem.

thanks for any help someone can give.

Check the man. of you video card. It should provide details of using dual monitor. You must choose this option for setup unless you are using a Hi-def card which I doubt you are.
