Standby & hibernate problems

i can use stand by but my pc cant resume. the same happens when i use hibernate. my motherboard is qdi kinetiz 7b with the latest bios.i also have the service pack4 for win2000. i dont know whats wrong. my system seems to support these feautures but they dont work fine. any syggestion?
