Cannot get Win98 laptop to internet through Small Bus Server 2003
Private network setup at my house
Small Business Server 2003 (SBS) private Domain 4-node network
All services installed on server (DNS, WINS, DHCP,Exchange, SQL, RAS, IAS)
All security and OS patches to SBS except Sp1 (MS does not recomend Sp1 for SBS 2003)
Cable Broadband to internet through SBS (2 NIC's) Dynamic IP-Internet, Static IP-local
2 switches on local network (SMC and Airlink)
DHCP is configured to provide DNS, WINS, and default gateway and to send quieries to local server NIC IP address (static IP)
Win2K Pro Sp4 client ->DHCP for local IP no problems to internet\intranet
WinXP Pro Sp2 client ->DHCP for local IP no problems to internet\intranet
Win98 SE client ->DHCP for local IP no problems to intranet\cannot get to internet
Win98 client is wireless-B, has joined domain and has access to all network shares on all nodes but fails DNS on internet. Problem still occurs with wired ethernet card. Can manually enter external DNS IP's on NIC TCP\IP and ping out but no internet still.
Other clients from above have same DHCP settings as Win98.
What is going on with Win98 client? Any suggestions? HELP......
