Microsoft visual c++ runtime library error

I'm having this big problem that whenever I bootup my system,I get a visual c++ runtime library error # 'C:\winnt\system32\winlogon.exe this application has requested the runtime to terminate in an unusual way'.My desktop appears without any icons and taskbar.I can't right click or left click on it with mouse.When I click on ok in the runtime error dialog box...my system shuts down abruptly.Plz help me.

Can you get into the desktop via safe mode ? if so, please try to un-install the IE6 from control panel (or revert to older version), please let us know.

I already uninstalled IE6 but its of no use.What else should i do.

I'm having also a problem that whenever I launch pro,gram called VIRTUALDUB MOD,I get a visual c++ runtime library error # 'Cath\virtualdubmod.exe, this application has requested the runtime to terminate in an unusual way'.Then the program does not launch.Plz help me.

We had the same problem resolved by Uninstalling the Google ToolBar and any other Toolbar on your system.
