Multiple FTP servers

This may be a noob question, but I am a noob, so its ok. lol

I am running Windows 2000 advanced server.

I would like to know how to set up multiple FTP servers on one box. I know how to set up one server, but I need to set up multiple servers with different users/groups that have different home directory.

Can I use the same IP?

Do I need to use a different port than 21?

How do I limit the HD space each user has?

I have been beating my head against the wall for the last 4 hours and don't seem to be getting anyware. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Steve

Hi Steve,

Sorry that we could not get back to you sooner.

question: are your IP addresses registered with DNS server ? if not this would be a very difficult task to do, otherwise not so difficult.

You can have few NIC in your system with each NIC assigned to a certen IP.... in regards to port 21, it could be used by only one service there for I guess you have to use a different port for different FTP server.

Using a software called Serv-U Pro (Ver 6.x) you will be able to add qouta to each account and limit the disk space per user, also setting multiple FTP could be setup through the same software interface.

Hope that helps
Cheers

Thanks for the response.
Yes the ip is regestered with a DNS server.

It looks like Serv-U Pro is the answer to my prayers.

Thanks again,

Steve
