Angry Microsoft Visual C++ runtime Library

When I try to start Microsoft Internet Explorer the following message comes up and does not allow me to start the Explorer:
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error
Program: C:\.....Iexplore.exe
This application has requested the runtime to termminate in an unusual way. Please contact the application support team
