Windows 2000 Active Directory Domains & Trusts

I am trying to set up a trust relationship in our Windows 2000 Active Directory environment. I can browse both domains via Windows Explorer and if I set appropriate rights on a folder, I can get to those directories. But, when I try to set up a trust between the 2 domains, I get the following error message.... "The trust relationship cannot be verified... The security database on the server does not have a computer account for this workstation trust relationship."

I can't find any information on this issue..
