My computer is running Win2000Professional/NT. A while back, somehow I changed the default screen after logging into Windows to a photograph of mine. Now, I want to change it back, and I cannot figure out how I got the photo on the screen in the first place.
Here's what happens:
DOS Startup screen
Windows Startup screen (with progress bar)
Blue screen with box "Windows 2000 Professional - Windows is starting up"
Blue screen with white dialog box instructing to Cntl+Alt+Del to log in
I then do Cntl-Alt-Del, and put in my user name and password, and hit Enter
The NEXT dialog I see is against the photo background that I'm trying to remove - "Loading and applying personal settings"
As Windows loads programs into the Quick Launch bar at the bottom, the photo remains on the screen
Then, the screen goes black, and then my desktop appears as usual, and Windows finishes starting up programs.
My questions are: (1) what is that intermediate screen, right after I log in, called? (2) How do I access setting for it, and (3) How do I return it to the default settings? I have gone into settings-->Display-->Desktop/Appearance, and the only photo I can find there is the one I use for my desktop (which I want to keep as it is). I can't even find where the first photo is stored on my C: drive.
Thanks for any guidance!
