Recovering deleted files
I had a user delete his My Documents files (offline files)-- he was transfering the PC to another user and didnt want any of his data on the machine. Well, he was unaware that the unit was logged in to the domain. We use the folder redirection to save the My Document folder to the file server. I went ahead and used a recovery program to search for the deleted files, however I had no luck searching the file server. I then went ahead and searched the client and found the deleted cached offline files which were located in Windows\CSC. I restored these files to another drive. I know the files are encrypted and are basically useless--at the moment. Does anyone know if I can restore these offline files and then sync them with the domain (Server 2003)?
