I am having the same problem. I took my desktop computer home from work where it was networked to a domain. I searched for instructions on how to network my desktop so I could move files to my new Laptop, followed those intructions as per this website:
http://www.intel.com/personal/howto/...worked_PCs.htm
and when I restarted my desktop to finalize settings, I could no longer login. My regular username and password didn't work and neither did my admin un and pw. So, now my desktop is completely locked out.
Is there a simple way to get back in to my desktop and change the settings back to the way they were? My other issue is that I don't have a floppy drive on my new laptop, just a cd/dvd rw drive. Can I burn the boot files to a cd and use that to get my desktop running or does it need a floppy?
PS- I'm running XP pro on both machines. One registered version on laptop and one copy that is unregistered on desktop.
