Windows Media Encoder issue
I currently have a USB A/V converter plugged into my high-speed USB 2.0 slot. I used to be able to capture video but now I can't. The preview mode works fine. The quality is great. However, when I go to start capturing (with any program, but let's use Windows Media Encoder 9 as an example) it captures nothing more than the first frame to make a 0.03 second film. The preview mode also locks onto that one frame that it captures and doesn't move until you stop encoding/recording. I read about WE9's dependancy on DirectX 9 so I reinstalled that to no avail.
Windows 2000 SP4
Dell Precision 340
P4 1.8GHz
512 MB RAM
20 GB HD
Any suggestions? None of my programs can record/encode now so there is something wrong deep down...
