Remote Desktop / Shared folder connection issue
I have a small network of computers that I am administrating. The server is running Windows 2003 Std Server and is behind a Cisco Pix 501. Two of the computers are running Windows 2000. The rest have Windows XP.
The server has a folder which I have set up sharing rights to the two 2000 machines and, they connect fine. One of the XP machines has Remote Desktop on it and connects to the server fine.
However, the shared folder cannot be accessed from the XP machine through the software like the 2000 machines. And, although I have set up the 2000 machines with Remote Desktop and all the same IP addresses and security codes of the XP machine, I get a "Server is busy or the permission have not be granted to allow this user remote access" even though I have the user ID set up to allow remote access.
Any ideas? I would like to get all the machines to do one process correctly and make it easy on my end users.
Thank you,
D
