SBS-Server with DHCP doesn't give Internet access to clients

Hey all

I am kinda new to this, and am trying to set up a Small Business Server. The network-setup i am trying to get to work is this:

Internet - SBS-Server - Switch - Clients

The server has 2 network cards, one is connected to the Internet, and one to the switch at the moment. I have configured DHCP on the server, and this works fine now. I can get IP's on the clients on the other side of the switch, and i can reach the server. I can't, however, gain access to the Internet with other than the server. The server has internet access, but none of the clients. The server is configured as a router.

What could be wrong here? Do I have to do something to create routing between the 2 network interfaces on the server, or should that be created automatically?

I am grateful for all replies, as I am really stuck on this, and it's abit important that i get this to work

Is the DHCP server giving out the internal IP address of the SBS server as the client's default gateway? Can you get to the Internet from the SBS server?

This is the first couple of things that come to mind when trying to troubleshoot this problem.

Verify that your client's are getting the correct IP settings using IPCONFIG /ALL. Make sure there is a DNS and a default gateway in those settings.

Also, try to PING a host on the Internet and see if an IP address is returned? You may not be able to ping the host, but at least that will tell you if DNS is resolving the external IP addresses.

Not at work now, but the SBSServer can access the internet. Could surf and everything, but none of the clients inside the switch could.

Also, I did try to ping a host on the internet using a client, and yes, it did return the correct IP. It did not successfully ping the host of course, but it did resolve the IP-adress. So the DNS seemed to be working as it should...

The rest I am not sure of, will check it first thing tomorrow morning.
