Im a total idiot when it comes to PCs, so please excuse my post if it hasnt enough info
I reformatted the Kids PC, which is a pretty old machine... they have windows 2k pro OS...Everything went fine until i got to installing the Lan driver.
All i know is that its an intergrated one, and when i check the device manager it says its a SIS PCI based fast ethernet Lan
Whats happening is that i have the motherboard disk and i just let the wizard run its course, but as soon as i hit the button to say install driver, some messy graphics appear on the screen and then everything freezes, with the only way out is to restart the pc ..
So i thought fine maybe the disk is dodgy, so i downloaded the driver from SIS home page onto a memory stick and tried again , but still the same results ..
Any help would be appreciated, as im about to hit the damn thing with a hammer
