"Access Denied" to folder on second hard drive
Had a 4yo Windows XP system that died. The hard drive was still OK, so I had it put in my Windows 2K Pro system as a second internal drive. The old files are all still on it, and I can access them all - except for ONE folder a few levels down somewhere inside My Documents. This one gives an "access denied" message and shows a size of 0 bytes...
If I go to the Properties > Security tab, it says "You do not have permission to view or edit the current permission settings for FOLDERNAME, but you can take ownership or change auditing settings". There are no users at all listed under "Name" (and therefore no permissions) but if I click Advanced > Owner tab, 2 Administrator accounts are listed, although under "current owner" it shows "Unable to display current owner".
All the other folders on that hard drive are owned by something called "S-1-5-21-13430294091..." etc. and have full permissions for that user as well as Administrators and System.
Any ideas why just one folder would have this problem, and how I can regain access to my files?
