Access Problem

hi,

we are using two domain controllers in two different domain(server), one is windows server 2003 R2 std. edition with sp2 and another one is windows 2000 server with sp4.

the problem is when an user in 2003 domain trying to access 2000 domain it is displaying the following error eventhough we have created the same username and password in 2000 server.

\\ServerName is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions.

Logon Failure: The Target account name is incorrect.


Note : But the same user can access when he is logged on as local administrator from his computer.

i request you to give me a solution for this issue

Are both domains part of a forrest?

There is a wizard to set this up in the Manage Your Server option under domain controller (Server CD maybe required).

This should integrate the IP addresses of the server of one domain into the DNS server of the other (if DNS server has been setup).

Try pinging function from one server to another, if succcessful then your problem should be resolved.
