Quick question

I have two comp. One with XP SP2 and the other server 2003. I have formatted the server 2003. How can I add the existing user on the XP im the Active Directory. When I do that it creates a new user on the xp mashine!
I hope u understand me!

Hi, you need to make 2003 a domain controller then you add users and PCs in there and then you join the PC to the domain.
Have you used 2003 before?

It is a domain controller. I can add users, but how do I add an existing user (XP) to the domain. When I do that it creates a different user. For example:
XP user is "max". The domain is "aleksandar.local". So, it's "alekso.aleksandar.local" right? Than I reinstall 2003. When I try to add "alekso" to the domain, it creates a new user: "alekso.aleksandar.local.000"!
That's the problem!
I hope it's more clear now. I'm not very good in explaining things!

Hi, first thing save all of Max's important files. Remove XP from the domain. Now in AD add the computer again and the user (remove the old one's first)
Log on to XP locally. In users remove all refrences to Max also check users in explore and remove max this will also deleate his files so make sure you have them backed up. Restart XP and join the domain. It will restart XP and log on with Max.
