Roaming Profile -Synch Problem-

Hello,
I recently made a true roaming profile through group policy. I'll explain.... The users of this group (which is a separate OU as well) Have their my docs, startmenu, desktop pointed to the server. So, that it synchronises everytime they log onto a workstation. It has worked great! Same desktop shows up everytimg...etc. All files are stored on the server. But here's the problem....When I log on to a workstation w/my domain admin account, it tried to synch again. The admin has never been apart of the OU or group that contains this unique policy. When I look on the server it does not show the files for the admin that it says it's synching? But it still states it is? Weird? I created a dummy user account that was not in the same OU or group & it says it's synching too? Odd? In this group only the user portion was edited, not the computer.

In my frustration after much inspecting & finding no solution I deleted those user accounts & also the one group that had the synching policy. For some reason, when I try to log on as the domain admin on the workstation it still states that it's trying to synch? This policy was only applied to one group. That group was created & only ever existed in a separate OU which the admin was never apart of.

I don't understand why it's doing this still. But it seems I can't create a new user w/o this doing it again. Of course, I can't afford for this to continue doing this.

Thanks,

This sounds more like a folder redirection GP that a roaming profile.

I have seen folder redirection and off-line files behave like this. The synchronization seems to occur at every log-on-off for every user with a profile on the local machine regardless of which user is actually logging on, even if the said user is not a member of the roaming GP.(or OU if you please)

I noticed this when I was testing a similar configuration and I logged onto the machine with a lot of different roaming accounts. Log of and on times became very long after a while, even when logging on as a user not in the roaming group.
