Question desktop background problem

Whenever I login, the background goes from the standard blue to background image A, which is shown for a second. Then the background goes to black, then background image B is shown.

How do I get the background image to go straight to background image B without first flashing background image A?

I've tried changing the background image via Properties > Background, but the same thing happens. Is there anything else that could be setting another background image?

Thanks!

Is this a slideshow of your "My Pictures" folder? Are Image A and Image B pictures in "My Pictures"?

(right-click) your Desktop > Properties > Screen Saver > (scroll down) My Pictures Slideshow
