direct3d doesn't work properly
i have window 2000 professional with SP3, i have ASUS GeForce 4 64MB, p4 1.7G 512 DDR-ram and p4pe motherboard, i could not play game like Battle Realm or even the old game Hitman I, i could start the game but as i play for two or three minute, it just froze my computer and i have to reboot it again.
i test my direct3d in direct X diagnose, it just run for two or three second ( the 3d spinning cube), then it stop running... i try to find direct3d update in microsoft software and it is not there
BY the way, i have direct 7.0... and when i try to update it to 8.0 it said there is an internal error, and when i try to set up directX 9.0, it just install for a while then i stop, and said there is an error.
I could play other simple game of final burn, but anything involve direct3d it just simply run for awhile then froze.
is there any other cause beside directX, and how do i fix my problem...
