Question Capturing NT or 2000 LOGIN Name

Is there a way to capture a user's NT login name (or win2000) in a similar way to getting machine information, like OS, version, memory etc?

If so, can it be done using javascript or another language?

Thanx

Any key logger could do the trick. Try 007 SPY:

Thanks for that, but I write Computer Based training material utilising Javascript simulations and I wanted to be able to somehow (using javascript or another language I'm permitted to use by clients) to capture the current user's login name (in this case their name is a unique 8 number identifier).

This way I could have personalised the training material and develop a method for their managers to track who's completed what training on-line (its an intranet by the way).

I wouldn't be able to use 3rd party software like 007spy etc.

I could ask users to enter their number, but that relies on them being honest and entering correct number.

The more I look, the more I think it ain't possible.

However, if someone knows different, please post

thanks
