W2K LPD Printer port won't print
I'm trying to set up my Windows 2000/XP printer so it can be used to print from other machines running Linux & BeOS. I have done this successfully in the past. I installed the "print services for unix" & set it to "automatic" in the "Services" section. I then "add new printer" > select "create new port" > select "lpr" port & fill in the server info (I've tried both the Name ("puter1") & also by address (192.168.1.xxx). When I try to print a test page nothing happens > although when I check the documents section it does show it's printing.
This problem is happening on both Windows 2000 & XP Pro. Any ideas? |
