Vista security issue

There´s an article in a leading German news magazine that refers to the new Microsoft windows "vista".
The article states that because of Microsoft´s obsession with security it collaborated with a major US intelligence agency in writing this aspect of the program. The article further suggests that there is an element of security/spyware in this program.
Has anyone heard anything or read anything similar?

Hey Ladymargot,

I think German news magazine has only scratched the surface .....if NSA has collaborated with Microsoft as per what they have admitted then they have done a lot more then just adding spyware to Vista.

What is this Mag? (in english?)
There could be some basic spyware that woul alert the FBB (yes I know) should you type in "b-" or "T-" or many other words - but such people are not fools and will adopt replacement names so the software has no clue. This is why Agents don't say the word, rather a covert name or phrase, recognised by others in the know but ignored by anyone overhearing. "The geese are flying South"
If the FBC (yes I do know) want to clog-up their system then monitoring computers will do it for them as any dubious message is curculated as spam and that will cause a general overload. There are far better ways to tackle such problems, but I suspect there could well be some basic spyware which may be enabled when you least expe - - sorry that's the doorbell.

I think it's safe to say that as soon as a computer is connected to the internet, it's no longer 100% secure. It doesn't make any difference how much hardware and software protection between your computer and the rest of the world, if you can get out, somebody who is determined enough and skilled enough can get in.

If any government, U.S. or any other, want to monitor your online activities, I'm betting it'll get done, with or without any nefarious, underhanded collusion by Microsoft.

Many other governments do not operate under the same restrictions as those that respect individual rights. I wonder if anybody is watching them and their computer survelliance.
