Is there a way to download Window Vista without upgrading my Graphics Card I have a NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 420 But I ran a test and it's telling me I need to upgrade it....???? Can someone help me? If so what Graphic card would be good for a good price and also I was thinking to upgrade to a new processor is the any good selections for a good price also?

keep checking your video card homepage for firmware/software upgrade patches.....nvidia and MS are not communicating too well....its a control thing.

Possibly the card has insufficient memory. Or not quite enough grunt. Don't you think It ridiculous that video card performance should prevent your us e of an OS?
Reduce the "eye candy" effects. It will effect an improvement. Not much, but you may be able to at least have look.
Take no notice of Vistas performance index thing. It is meaningless.

You know, you can have the vista effects on XP too. 3D desktop switching etc. It's not just a Vista thing:

IF YOU are wondering if it is worth it upgrading your XP machine to Vista later in the year you might want to have a look at some free software to give you a clue.
The Vista Transformation Pack 4.0 has been just released which shows the transparent effects that Vista will have.

Other than the "look and feel" of Vista the software does not give you much more, which is good because otherwise you would have to shell out a King's ransom for the hardware upgrades require. This does require a graphics card, but not the super-dooper thing that Vista needs.
