Can't delete file in Vista Ultimate

Help?

This is weird - there's a DIVX file that I downloaded to my hard drive. After some searches, i've learned that there's either something corrupt or malicious about this file. Specifically, everytime I try to do anything with it, Windows Explorer starts locking up and have to kill the process.

So, I've tried every possible way to delete the file and still can't.

Some of the things I've tried:
1) Command prompt - change attributes and then delete (didn't have rights)
2) Safe mode - change "ownership" and then delete
3) MoveOnBoot - cool app that's supposed to be able to delete the application when booting.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I really need consistent access to the folder its in.

Did you try changing the ownership of the file in Normal Mode??

Make sure to change the ownership of the file and also select the option to change the ownership of everything inside that folder... Another way would be turning of UAC (User account protection) and then attempt to delete the file... Of course make sure to change the ownership first...
