Multimedia Audio Controller issues on vista.

Hello, Im new to the forums, and am having some issues with Vista and sound. I found these forums through a windows live search, and the ppl here seem to be helpful and well able to get the problems solved.

Im using a Dell XPS Gen3, with a Creative Sound Blaster Auidigy 2 sound card. Ive tryed the official creative drivers, but it doesnt reconize my hardware. When I go to the device maneger, it shows "Multimedia Audio Controller" with a big yellow question marking on it. This obviously means my sound card is not functioning/disabled. Are there any Creative drivers that are Vista compatible? Or even some 3rd party ones? Its not the hardware itself. The card worked fine on XP not even 8 hours ago. So its obviously an OS issue.

Any help, be it links or suggestions, would be greatly appreciated.
If there is any more information regarding specs, or anything like that, that you ppl may need, plz just let me know. id like to get this fixed, stat.

I have a fix to this problem

I have also this problem and after trying almost all the things I can, suddenly I browse my disk drive and found a directory that says:

DRIVERS/AUDIO

I pointed the update drivers to that directory and it worked without problems and fix the sound of my Dell.

If you donīt find that directory I can send you the drivers via mail or if I can post them here please tell me how to do it.

Just a suggestion to you guys.....Try to use the XP driver for Vista first rather then searching for Vista driver here and there....in most cases driver are the same and installation methods have not changed.....in rare cases where new driver does not have digital signature....you may want to look for Vista driver.

Cheers

Hey Oldtimer...was your question directed to me on other member ? If in case....I'm not a beta tester for Vista..simply don't have enough time, but I have access to beta version through MSDN though.

Cheers
