vista versions?

Does anyone know if when you buy vista if you need to specify wether you want 32bit version or 64bit version? Or is there 2 versions. I was looking at vista versions and didnt see any options for this? Any help would be appriciated , Thanks sFanford

Hi ... My understanding is that you will have both version on the same dvd disc , It's which license version you buy that counts

sorry "snooker" but that's not how it will be sold.

Windows Vista 32 bit and 64 bit will be sold separately.........they both can't fit on one DVD either (unless you use dual layer)......every Vista OS will be around 2.4 Gig....Vista 63 bit will be geared toward business user while 32 bit be for end user.

I have installed 32 bit and 64 bit both (just to see the new features).....you better have at least 1 Gig of Ram before installing it, this OS it a pig for memory.

Hey Snowmonkey.... I remember reading that the 32 and 64 would be but that was months ago when I installed the latest Vista beta version , So maybe by now it has change , It seem this new version is all about starting the spending cycle over again , I also notice it takes about 7.5 gb just to install ... I'm still happy with XP

I have to agree Win XP runs fine for me also , but I want to convert to 64 bit.

I just re readed and now I notice they will be in the same box but on separate DVDs , I wonder if that will be the case as well
