website security certificate problem

i have a new hp pavillion dv6000 laptop with vista. everytime i try to access my bank acct. i recieve a message that says problem with website security certificate,website has expired or is not valid. is this just a settings problem ? if so how do i correct? i still have my pc with xp and have no problem logging on with it. thanks
