Another No Sound Thread!

Angry Another No Sound Thread!

Hi,
Today i upgraded from XP to Vista. Few minor problems but they were mainly down to human error.

I go into Device manager and:


So no sound is coming out the speakers whatsoever.
The Speakers do work, i can use them on my notebook successfully.
Speakers are model: VS-2121
Here is my comp:


OS:
Windows Vista Home Premium (build 6000)
Computer Name: Uk-carrapc (in SONOSCAN.COM)

Processor:
3.20 gigahertz Intel Pentium 4

Hp don't have the audio driver, but the board has Realtek ALC880 High Definition go here http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/...&GetDown=false

Download the (Executable file) save to desktop, double click downloaded file on desktop to install.

Set a System Restore Point before installing just in case

The computer detects sound but there is still no output from the speakers.

Problem solved!

I had to download a file called:
SBXF_PCDVTBETA_US_2_13_0001.exe

Which was a Creative Sound driver for VISTA, it is beta but it does the trick.
