Windows cannot find.........

In Windows mail, when I receive an email for example from ebay, showing a list of items which have come up in one of my favourite searches, when I click on one of the items to open it up, I immediately get a window that reads the following:-

"Windows cannot find" .....
...... then the URL ie http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayI etc. etc......
......"Make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again"

This window stays on the screen for about 1 second and then the web page opens with no problem.

To get rid of the "Windows cannot find" box, I have to right click on it in the taskbar and close it, which is starting to become a bit annoying for multiple web pages.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to remedy this problem. Please be gentle, its my 1st post. Many thanks in advance.

This also happens with outlook in vista. if you wait then your default browser does open and 'find' the correct address.

I am really looking for a reason why it does this and the solution to stopping it. Thanks for your response anyway
