Yes and it requires 4 gigs free to install. How curious is that?

Question

Why not wait until mid April when it can be downloaded from Windows Updates, the size of it is smaller than downloading it Microsoft's website.

Depending on needs, you may still end up downloading all of it, DaveC2003.
It makes sense to get the full thing now and you have it for subsequent installs, or merge it into the original release.

True Disk Contented, I just let auto updates handle it. I have not notice much difference in the SP1 update but file transfer speed has impoved. Have you noticed any real differnce in the update Disk Contented?

Didn't install it mate. I have a test Vista on a 10 gig VM file, but not enough room now for SP1. Nearly 9 gigs in use for just the OS and AV plus firewall? Something wrong there.
I don't think VM can resize a created machine, so it will have to wait.

If I can reduce the size with "Vista lite", I might try.
