Exclamation From Windows XP to Windows Vista

Do I have to remove windows xp in order to upgrade to windows vista? What about my ms offices 2003 programs? what will happen to them. I don't want to lose all of the files and work that I have done in the ms office 2003 programs and risk loosing them to vista 2007. Do you feel me......?

Cool this is my advice

my opiniona is that plzzzzzzzz dont update vista over xp.becoz if u didnt like the feel of vista(like me!!)u cant spring back to xp.so what u do is dual boot between xp &vista so that if u didnt like vista u can format that partition alone.

completly wipe ur hdd. this is a realy good toolhttp://dban.sourceforge.net/

then just do a clean install of vista by booting form the dvd, it works so much better having a fresh hhd =P

why you bothered about loosing ms 2003 if you have purchased it. surely you have the disc =p. or has someone been naughty (wink wink)

Thumbs up

MS Office 2003 is compatible with Vista so that shouldn't be a problem. If you had Office 2007 then you can go to Microsoft's website and download the Office Compatibility Pack and that will get your files working.

1) Upgrading from xp to vista = bad idea
2) Vistas great when you DONT UPGRADE TO IT. Vista is the point where you buy a new pc (not from staples though)

oh and another thing -- why bother with MS office ANYTHING when you could go to openoffice.org and get the whole office thing for free?
