Vista problems

Hi guys I need help,I mistakenly selected a downloaded .exe file to be opened up with windows media player,in turn all of my .exe files now try to start in windows media player.I tried to delete windows media player and got denied due to not having permission.I try to set up myself as the administrator but it will not keep it saved as it.I also try to open "msconfig" but yet it opens with media player. I cannot delete anything also.Thank you for the help

Hi, go into control panel and select Defaut Programs then associate program options in there.

Ok so i went into set associations,and I cannot find the .exe file to switch it.Is there any type of restore all defaults on the computer

Ok try this right click on the file you wish to open>properties>general>click change>browse>then find the program you wish to associate with it.

I turned out using exefix_cu.reg found here
