How do I turn off the erm...read only thing?

How can I turn off the read only thing that vista puts on EVERYTHING?

Hey Thor1160, the read only applies to the folder only so as you add files to the folder and untick the read only you will get a box asking to apply to all files ect. Once you do that the files are not read only just the original folder, thats why we had to take ownership of the folder to delete it.
