password suddenly not correct?

password suddenly not correct?

Hi!

have a problem...the user password i have always used for my toshiba equium a200-1vo windows vista login is all of a sudden "incorrect" !

i have not changed anything and i dont have a clue what is wrong. i have gone into setup and things and it says (and i dont know how relevent this is) that HHD password frozen?

any ideas people?

Frozen would normally mean you have to power cycle the drive before more retries are possible.

Turn it off, and back on.
I may be able to find a small tool to help you. It just makes things more convenient.
It's not a hacktool, before anyone asks.
I'll get back to you ASAP.

cool thanks, ive tried turning it off and back on and all sorts of similar things with no joy.
Its the user password for windows vista ye? it says either username or password are incorrect when they are most definitly not....just to detail my problem more!

Vista password.. I thought you said it was HDD pass was frozen?

Tip: Contact your PC's Manufacturer and tell them about the HDD password frozen option you saw. They will help you troubleshot this issue. Probably having you to reset the CMOS Setup and flashing your Bios if necessary.

Linux SAM extrapolation tools (which I don't really consider hacking as you need physical access to a PC) can assist in previous Windows versions, but not Vista AFAIK.
