Question How do I install programs for only 1 user?

Ok here is my problem! I have a new HP Pavillion a6232x running Windows Vista Home Premium and everytime I install a program it shows up in everyones Start Menu and I want it only to appear in my Start Menu/Account! Any help would be appreciated!

Hi, log on as the Administrator, right click on the program and click on security>click edit>if the users are not in the Group or user names go add>add the user then deny them the permissions you want on that folder>remove the short cut from the all users folder in Windows Explore.

It is hidden unless you show it via folder settings

Okay...I enabled hidden folders and I still can't find it lol

I never really bothered looking its the Users folder in computer, not all users like XP

um...a simple installation is when the program is installing and you are selecting the destination folder (where it installs) on one of the screens it usually asks if you want the program to be installed for "All Users" or "Just Me"...check to see if thats an option for you.

Suprisingly few installers offer the option to select the single user or not.
