Partitioning and vista

I hate Vista. So I am trying to downgrad my vista laptop to XP but I still want to keep vista and everything on it without reinstalling. But I can't seem to find a way to Partition the master in to two seperate chunks (no free unalloted space). Im not sure if I should use DOS, some third party program, or vista itself. Thanks for reading.

Any partition manager can do this. Acronis etc

Try GParted. It's used my Linux and Windows. NTFS and FAT32 are able to be changed in every detail. Just burn the ISO to a CDR.

You can also try a program called Partition Magic by Symantec. Good luck!

Hey LynnKnows2,

Partition magic does not support the Vista file system and it's not compatible with vista.

http://www.symantec.com/norton/produ...d=sp&pvid=pm80

Gparted or Acronis or even Paragon Disk Manager can do the trick but not partition magic.

Cheers
