No Sound :(

First off, I'm not sure if I'm using realtek 97, or high definition. But im guessing its 97 since high def wont install for me but 97 does.

I can't get any sound out of my speakers for some reason. Although when I test the speakers in the control panel, it works. No other sounds come out though. Can someone help me?

No Sound

Please update the sound driver..

Go to Device Manager -> Sound and Audio

What do you see?

Do you see the name of the sound card? or you see High definition audio?

If you dont see High definition audio then please update the driver.

or else check the sound properties to make sure the device is enabled and active..

Bala

Go down to your taskbar notification areas(the place with the clock) and right click the speaker, then click playback devices, right click the box under where it says
Quote:
select a playback device to modify it's settings.
then click show disabled devices. After that right click on the speakers that showed up and click enable. Now your sound should be on.
