Windows Vista Basic threw a rod!
When I grew up and a car started smoking and running real rough, we knew it was about to crash and burn. It was called throwing a rod. Of course, it was much more involved than throwing something but I am in a real dilemma. My Vista basic system started slowly dying and I could not give it mouth to mouth fast enough and it stopped. Now, whatever I try, it will not kick-start, and I have really thought about kicking it. I have to get life into it by holding F1 down when booting and then switching over to F8 to get the safe window open. I have tried all I know but when I try a restart, the same problem occurs. Some time back, I loaded the upgrade screen with the transparent colored screen. Now that shows and it stops all activity. Will anyone help?
