No audio output device is installed.

My sound has been working fine, but for the past two weeks ive been having an error message with the sound device. I tried restarting my computer, and the sound works for about 10 minutes after i restart it. But soon after it goes back out and it doesnt work again.

I have a hp pavilion dv6000 laptop with windows vista.

Ive tried tons of troubleshooting that ive heard over the net, and i dont have a "Sound and game controllers" section in my device manager.

Can anyone help?
