I believe that is your user files folder . Can you go to the following >>> Start >>> Control Panel >>> Personalization >> then on the top left side click >>> change desktop icons ......... If you have a check mark on >>> User's files ? remove it and then click apply / ok ... Now see if it still there

it's still there. and it still won't let me delete it.
it was weird but I can't remember right now what I did to cause this.

i think i moved some files out of this folder to another folder to back them up on a data dvd or something and that's when i ended up with this folder that i could not remove.

any other suggestions?

Was there a check mark where I said there would be ? If its your " User files folder " you can't delete it , its part of the windows system .

So you removed the check mark and rebooted?

Yes, I removed the checkmark and rebooted, and it's still there and still won't let me delete.

Try Unlocker.

I have installed "Unlocker" and ran it all kinds of ways and when I right click nothing about "Unlocker" shows up in that pop up menu.
I also tried "MoveOnBoot" and nothing. Does anyone know of any spirits that like living in Dell Laptops?

Does anyone have any other suggestions?

I installed a new app called "MoveOnB" (move on boot) and I can right click any file and it will ask me to delete it on the next boot. But it will not work for folders. I right click on the folder and it does not give me the option.
Here's what it looks like when I right click on a file not a folder:

Hi, try to take ownership of the folder>right click properties>security>advanced>owner>edit>click on your name then tick the box replace owner>close all windows of the folder>go back to security>your name should be in the group>editnad give yourself full permissions>remove any users but leave system.
In the folder is there any files? you may have to go into the folder through explorer and remove files.

I have a Dell Inspiron Desktop 530 with Vista Ultimate and had this exact same problem. I deleted the folder in 2 ways:

1) Used Unlocker and that worked.

2) Create another admin account (ensure the folder has full permissions). Log in with the new admin account, locate the folder and delete it.

Any problems, let me know.
