Vista 64 Bit sound on motherboard Please Help!

Hi there,

I recently had a hard drive fail and the hard drive couldnt find the operating system, so i bought Windows Vista 64bit, but my sound card manufactuer does not have a driver for my sound card,

So i was wondering as there is a audio port on my motherboard if/how do i get my sound working? can you please direct me as much as you can because i have no idea what im doing, maybe you could write it in steps or something

If you need any more info please reply and will be browsing over the thread for the next couple of hours or so.

I had some luck installing the driver on Vista 64 on Asus boards with SoundMax.

If your still having issues your sound chip is a SoundMax AD1888, can try searching for SoundMax AD1888 Vista 64 bit Audio Driver and try the fixes others have found.
